Heather Lanier's RAISING A RARE GIRL, which chronicles the challenges and joys of parenting a daughter born with a rare genetic condition, has sold to Ginny Smith at Penguin Press in an exclusive submission. 

The memoir will be based on her popular blog, Star in Her Eye, as well as an essay in Vela Magazine entitled "SuperBabies Don't Cry" which went viral and was hailed by Cheryl Strayed as "magnificent." Read it here.
